Hi, The www.techsmith.com link shows various software packages. Which is the best to start with?
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Gordon
The best and easiest software from Techsmith is Jing. Great for taking video of your computer screen and images and is Mac and PC friendly.

hi billy andrew here regarding club yesterday if we are photographing portraiture at a winow using available light and no tripod, with subject at arms length, would aperture normally be wide or is this irrelevant(depending on type of light bright/cloudy/etc), i suppose if eyes are sharp and shutter is 1/60 we should have an acceptable image, billy i hope this makes sense!
ReplyDeleteHi Andrew,
ReplyDeleteGreat question.... and you asked at the right time because that's the next stage of reviewing the images I had taken on Tuesday. We will now look closely at the images and discuss exactly what aperture and shutter speed is required to produce great results every time.
To answer your question, the aperture should be f5.6 with tripod or not and we are going to take every portrait at this aperture. Of course the shutter speed will change but I will explain that with the image results we have and with the camera settings on Tuesday.
I always believe it's better to see the practical exercises and the results so that you can produce the same results yourself right away. So on Tuesday it will be 10 mins chatting about the images and then you can photograph me..... this is the stage where you can then go out and photograph everyone/anyone to build a library of available light portraiture and be completely confident of your results.
Thanks for the question Andrew and see you on Monday and Tuesday.
All the best,
Billy.
